Tax State of the Union Webinar
Wednesday, September 28, 2022
8:30am - 10:00am
Some recent Federal and state legislative updates have the potential to impact your taxes. Among its more noteworthy provisions, the Inflation Reduction Act introduced a corporate alternative minimum tax, an excise tax on stock buybacks, and a number of clean energy tax credits. It also extended the limitation on excess business losses of noncorporate taxpayers and increased the research credit for small businesses.
Closer to home, Pennsylvania's new budget for the upcoming fiscal year included some significant legislative modifications to tax rates and nexus standards as well as the enactment of new corporate income, sales and use, and personal income tax rates.
We hosted an informative webinar that provided a high-level overview of the key tax-related provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act and Pennsylvania's budget. We also looked ahead to the potential implications of the mid-term election, as well as important tax planning considerations as we approach year-end.
Agenda items included:
- Key tax provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act
- Noteworthy tax-related legislative modifications in Pennsylvania's 2022-2023 budget
- A look ahead at the midterm election and year-end tax planning
