HORSHAM, PA, July 8, 2021 —Kreischer Miller, a leading independent accounting, tax, and business advisory firm serving the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley areas, today announced that it promoted five team members to director – Andrew R. Berger, Steven P. Feimster, Kathleen O. Galaska, Christopher R. Hippeli, and Katrina R. Samarin.

Andrew R. Berger, CPA is a director in Kreischer Miller’s Tax Strategies group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2013 upon graduation from West Chester University, where he received a B.S. in Accounting. Andrew provides a variety of practical tax strategies and services including tax compliance, tax planning, and tax research for corporations, partnerships, multi-state companies, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals. He has a range of experience working with companies in the real estate, distribution, manufacturing, and professional services industries. Andrew is also an active member of the firm’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) group.

Steven P. Feimster, CPA is a director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2011 after working at another public accounting firm in the Philadelphia area as well as working in the private sector, where he specialized in inventory management. Steve received a B.S. in Business Management from Bloomsburg University as well as a Masters in Accounting and Professional Consultancy from Villanova University. He has a wide range of experience providing traditional audit and accounting services to business in the manufacturing, not-for-profit, distribution, and professional services industries. He also provides business advisory services such as accounting department assessments and due diligence services. Steve is an active participant in Kreischer Miller’s Manufacturing Industry Group, Not-for-Profit Industry Group, and Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) group.

Kathleen O. Galaska, CPA is a director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting group. She joined Kreischer Miller in 2011 after working at a public accounting firm in Knoxville, Tennessee. Katie received a B.S. in Accounting as well as an M.B.A. from Messiah College. She has a wide range of experience providing audit, accounting, and business advisory services to companies in the not-for-profit, governmental, and manufacturing industries. Katie advises not-for-profit organizations on the auditing and reporting requirements under Uniform Guidance (single audits) and she works with clients on implementing various recommendations for improved policies and increased efficiencies, as well as evaluating internal control procedures. Katie is an active participant in Kreischer Miller’s Not-For-Profit and Manufacturing Industry groups.

Christopher R. Hippeli, CPA is a director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2020 after working in the National Quality Organization of a Big 4 firm where his responsibilities included reviewing all matters related to reporting with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a portfolio of more than 30 publicly-traded clients. He also provided audit services for a range of companies in the Health Industries sector during his time with the Big 4 firm. Chris received his B.S. in Accounting from Lebanon Valley College. He provides audit and accounting services to a variety of businesses in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and not-for-profit industries. Chris also helps business solve complex accounting and financial reporting issues related to revenue recognition, leasing, business combinations, and other matters.

Katrina R. Samarin, CPA, M.T. is a director in Kreischer Miller’s Tax Strategies group. She joined Kreischer Miller in 2010 upon graduation from West Chester University, where she received a B.S. in Accounting. Katrina also received a Masters of Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. Katrina provides a variety of tax services including tax compliance, tax planning, and tax research for corporations, multi-state companies, partnerships, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals. She has a diversified range of experience providing tax services to a variety of companies in the distribution, construction, manufacturing, and service industries. Katrina is also actively involved in the firm’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) group as well as the Manufacturing Industry Group.
