HORSHAM, PA, July 18, 2023 —Kreischer Miller, a leading independent advisory, audit and accounting, and tax firm serving the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley areas, today announced that it promoted seven team members to Director – Lisa M. Cattie, Joshua E. Kramer, Jennifer L. Kreischer, Eric P. Levandowski, Michael L. Lipschutz, Frank L. Varanavage, and Nicholas W. Ward.

Lisa M. Cattie co-leads Kreischer Miller’s Outsourced Accounting & Finance Services group, which services small and mid-sized businesses that choose not to have a full-time controller or accounting department onsite. Lisa joined Kreischer Miller in 2002. In addition to previously working in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting practice, she spent several years in the firm’s Small Business Advisory group before becoming a founding member of the Outsourced Accounting & Finance Services group in 2019. She holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Shippensburg University. Lisa provides outsourced accounting and finance services to a variety of businesses, including e-commerce retailers, real estate developers, consulting practices, and distributors. She also specializes in onboarding new outsourced accounting clients and implementing new technology for the group.

Joshua E. Kramer, CPA, CIPM is a Director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2013 upon graduation from Temple University, where he received a B.S. in Accounting as well as a Masters of Accountancy. Josh has deep experience within the investment industry, providing traditional audit and attestation services to investment managers, broker-dealers, and closely-held funds. In addition, he performs operational due diligence throughout the United States and Europe to help investors understand the operational risk inherent in their investment managers’ operations. Josh also specializes in performing firm-wide verifications and composite examinations for investment managers claiming compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). He assists investment firms seeking to make a claim of compliance with the GIPS Standards in developing sound policies and procedures consistent with widely accepted practices related to calculating and presenting investment performance.

Jennifer L. Kreischer, CPA is a Director in Kreischer Miller's Audit & Accounting group. She joined Kreischer Miller in 2012. Jennifer previously served as a Transaction Services Partner with an international public accounting firm where she spent more than 15 years in the mergers and acquisitions area and advised on more than 250 transactions for U.S. and international companies. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Syracuse University as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Manchester Business School in the U.K. Jennifer has significant experience providing services including financial due diligence for buyers and sellers, transaction structuring, purchase price adjustment advice, purchase agreement review, and related advisory services. She has advised on a variety of complex transactions, including cross border, carve-outs, recapitalizations, initial public offerings, and rollups. Jennifer also has experience performing quality of earnings analysis and operational due diligence. She has led projects to assess M&A process, purchase accounting, and implementation of IFRS for companies in a variety of industries.

Eric P. Levandowki, CPA is a Director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2014. Eric previously worked as an auditor at a public accounting firm in Baltimore, Maryland where his responsibilities included performing audit and review services in industries such as construction, private equity, manufacturing, and employee benefit plans. Eric holds a B.S. in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. As a member of Kreischer Miller’s Investment Industry Group, he assists asset managers and investment funds in strengthening their internal controls and operational processes. Eric has also performed financial statement audits under PCAOB and AICPA standards, examinations and verifications of investment firm compliance with GIPS, and operational due diligence on private equity firms and other alternative investments in the United States and Europe.

Michael L. Lipschutz, CPA is a Director in Kreischer Miller’s Transaction Advisory group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2005 upon graduation from Bloomsburg University, where he received a B.S. in Accounting. Mike specializes in providing due diligence, quality of earnings, and merger and acquisition services. He also has experience in providing traditional audit and accounting services to privately held companies in the media, distribution, technology, and manufacturing industries. These services include benchmarking, industry surveys, forecasting, business contract analysis, and internal control assessments.

Frank L. Varanavage, CPA, CFE is a Director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2009. Frank previously worked for a regional accounting firm in Philadelphia, where his primary area of concentration was financial statement audits of mutual funds and mutual fund management companies. As a member of Kreischer Miller’s Investment Industry Group, Frank provides traditional audit services to investment managers, hedge funds, and broker/dealers. He also performs custody examinations in accordance with Securities and Exchange Commission Rule 206 (4)-2, GIPS verifications and composite examinations, and assists firms in implementing the GIPS standards. In addition, he performs due diligence throughout the United States and Europe to assist investors in understanding the operational risk inherent in their investment managers’ operations. Frank is also responsible for Kreischer Miller’s Career Counseling program, which aims to offer individualized attention, guidance, and support to team members. The program focuses on fostering the professional growth of counselees, helping them explore their goals and identify strategies to achieve desired outcomes.

Nicholas W. Ward, CPA is a Director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting group. He joined Kreischer Miller in 2002 upon graduation from Villanova University, where he earned a B.S. in Accounting. Nick provides audit and accounting services to a variety of businesses, including manufacturers, distributors, and media companies. As a member of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plans group, he works with all types of retirement plans, including defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, and ESOPs. Nick’s work in this area spans small single employer plans to large corporations with multiple types of plans, and he provides internal training on employee benefit plan-related topics.
