Doug is a Manager in Kreischer Miller's Transaction Advisory group. As a key member of this group, Doug provides accounting and transaction advisory services to a variety of privately held businesses, particularly those operating in the technology, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and textile industries. He also has experience working with higher education organizations and not-for-profits. Doug specializes in providing financial due diligence, business valuation, quality of earnings, M&A feasibility, and strategy execution services to his clients.

Background

Doug joined Kreischer Miller in 2023. He started his accounting career at a Big Four firm in New York City, performing audit services for clients in the banking and capital markets industry, including institutional broker dealers, investment banks, hedge funds, and registered investment advisors. Doug then transitioned into accounting advisory services at Grant Thornton where he helped clients implement newly adopted accounting standards for ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers, and ASC 842 Leases. He also provided transaction advisory services on corporate carve-outs and applying ASC 805 Business Combinations, ASC 810 Consolidations, and ASC 480 Distinguishing Liabilities from Equity for privately held companies with M&A transactions and push-down accounting.
